how long could you look at this before it starts to turn into one of those magic eye thingies, i think there is definitely some sort of subliminal message here, great pattern though, application would have to be at less than 100% of actual size or I think it would be a def. eyesore

Nope. I think this looks like a present wrapper to me. Great on paper, but I don't think it'll look great on a piece of cloth.
